Veg Boxes

Everything in the boxes is grown on site in our no-dig market garden. The range of produce available changes throughout the year as the seasons change. In July we harvest peas, lettuces and beetroot, the height of summer brings an abundance of tomatoes, cucumbers and beans, while the autumn and winter bring pumpkins, broccolis and cabbages. The orchards at the farm are full of plums in summer and apples in autumn too – a lovely seasonal addition to your veg box order.

Veg boxes cost £16 and are usually the right size for 2 people for a week, or one person for a fortnight. Each week includes staples like onions, potatoes and a salad bag plus a few seasonal extras which vary each week. You can collect your box from the farm on either Tuesdays 1-2.30pm or Saturdays 9-10.30am.

Boxes will be available again from June 2025. If you are interested in receiving veg boxes, please fill out this short form.

Our produce is packaged as minimally as possible, mainly using paper bags and string. For things that do need more packaging, such as salad leaves, we use biodegradable plastic bags. You can return all of your packaging to us and we will either reuse it or, if it is no longer useable, we will compost/recycle it for you. Learn more about how we grow here.

FAQs:

"Are the veg boxes organic?"

We are not certified organic, but we do grow to or above organic standards. Being certified comes with a cost which we would have to pass on to our customers. We would rather save that cost and be transparent with you. Learn more about how we grow here, read our newsletters and come along to our next farm tour.

“What happens if I go on holiday?"

There is no obligation to have a box every single week/fortnight. If you are going away, or simply decide the boxes aren't for you, just let us know.

"Can I choose what is in my box?"

As everything is grown on site on a relatively small scale, there isn't much room to adjust the contents of boxes. Part of the pleasure of getting a veg box from us is learning to eat with the seasons. However, we understand some people have allergies, intolerances or veg they just really do not enjoy. For this reason, we have a “swap box” where you can trade one veg for another when you come to collect your box.
