Sleeping Barn
Conversion of the barn from a disused farm building was completed in July 2009. It provides quality, comfortable Self-Catering accommodation at affordable prices. The accommodation comprises of four bedrooms. A dining room, self-catering kitchen and a lounge. The barn can sleep up to 15 people.
The kitchen is well equipped throughout with electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, cutlery, crockery and utensils. It also has a washing machine available on a pay to use basis. There is a separate dining room with space for a full group of fifteen to dine together.
The spacious lounge provides an additional option for relaxing or socializing. A television is located in the lounge and all bedrooms have an aerial socket if anyone wishes to bring their own television for private use. Wi-fi is also available.
The four bedrooms offer a variety of accommodation options ranging from a six bed family room to a two bed en-suite room with facilities for the disabled. Some beds can be zipped and linked to function as doubles or singles.
Four toilets and three showers provide ample facilities for all guests. Duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillowcases and a fitted base sheet are provided. Towels and toiletries are NOT provided.
A large decking and patio area (some under cover) provides great outdoor space. There is a small lawned area and a charcoal barbeque is available for anyone's use. Parking is located adjacent to the barn.
Secure space is available for the storage of fishing tackle, bicycles and similar items. An outdoor washing point is available for cleaning bikes, fishing equipment or dirty boots.
The barn is located on a working farm. Cattle and sheep will be grazing adjoining fields and chickens roaming freely. Guests will be expected to respect all farm animals and close gates behind them.
Due to the proximity of neighbouring properties the barn is not a suitable venue for noisy late night parties.
Two Coarse Fishing pools are located at Haye Farm and are open daily for pleasure fishing. A Certificated Location Caravan Site is also located on the farm.
Our 100% pasture raised Dexter beef and lamb is sold at the farm along with orchard fruits (apples, plums, cherries and pears) in season. Apple juice is sold throughout the year and surplus eggs and vegetables are sometimes for sale.
